Viennese tenor Jakob Gerbeth made his Vienna Musikverein debut in March 2025, aged 24, as a soloist in Monteverdi’s Vespers. Further appearances have taken him to Vienna’s Konzerthaus, the Carinthischer Sommer and Madrid, where he performed in Mozart’s Requiem with Barucco in 2026; the recording was broadcast on ORF III. Since his solo operatic debut at the donauFESTWOCHEN in 2022, his roles have included Don Ottavio, Alfred and Gomatz. His concert repertoire encompasses Bach’s Passions and Christmas Oratorio, Handel’s “Messiah” and Monteverdi’s Vespers. Alongside opera, art song and oratorio are central to his artistic work.
